I've had and trained dogs all my life, but when my 1 year old German Shepherd began showing signs of aggression I was out of my league. After research, and a number of phone calls, my dog and I made the 4 hour trip to Assertive K9. The entire team - family really - was so kind and matter of fact in assessing my dog. When I returned after her prescribed couple week training regime, she was like a brand new computer out of the box - capable of great things, subject to human error. This is where Assertive K9 goes above and beyond. Robert & co. spent the day training me with my dog, breaking down their training as adjusted for her individual personality, and the reality of our everyday life. Even now, a few years later, my dog and I daily practically apply all she and I learned at Assertive K9. More over, if ever I have a question, Robert & co have always been very responsive in returning emails or calls. What made the decision to travel all that way to work with Assertive K9 is this - this is their job, not some side hustle. This is what they do. They are passionate about their clients - dogs and owners, alike - and they work and live their passion. Highly, highly, recommend.
