O'Neill Realty in Corona, California

We thought it would be easier to use a property management service for our rental property rather than take care of things ourselves. Boy were we wrong... and even giving it a try left us out $500. After a few weeks, they had only found a couple (not very attractive) leads for our home. They left us with a huge "to-do" list and wanted us to spend more to take out ads in newspapers. Communication was curt and made us feel like our home was an inconvenience and they dropped the ball on a couple of things. Though we were dissatisfied with the service, they enforced the $500 cancellation fee. I'm just glad we were able to cancel before being locked in for a year. Within a couple of days of placing our own ad on craigslist, we had several great applications and we were able to find a perfect tenant for our home. They seem to get different people replying to their ads than those you get when you list your own place. O'Neill might be great if you are a tenant, but as a home owner I found them to be inefficient, expensive, and difficult to work with.
