'El Cerrito Place' passed through Keith Gattis and Charlie Robison before Kenny Chesney put his voice on it. Each of the three singer-songwriters gave their poetic takes on the track that was penned solely by Gattis and recorded for his 2002 album, Big City Blues. Two years later, Texas country star Robison included a cover of it on his 2004 album, Good Times. His rendition caught the attention of Chesney, who then gave it another life when he released it as the third and final single off his 2012 album, Welcome to the Fishbowl .
