For the first time this season the Vacaville High football team is under the .500 level as the Bulldogs fell to El Cerrito at home Friday night, 14-9. It was the second straight loss for the Bulldogs (2-3), who take on Rodriguez next week at home in the league opener. El Cerrito improved to 5-0 on the season. In fact, all of Vacaville's three loses have come to teams that are undefeated at 5-0. El Cerrito took a 14-0 lead into halftime thanks to two touchdown passes by Michael Vanhook in the second quarter.
